Who we are
What does the support of Mission Services accomplish?
The funds contributed to Mission Services provide the opportunity for the staff and directors to provide an ever changing and growing array of communication services based upon our mission statement and evangelistic strategy. Contributions save thousands of dollars each year for the missionaries and ministries served through printing and publishing performed by our ministry. In 2012, our staff and Board of Directors committed to the creation of electronic media platforms to share the news of God's Kingdom. Since that time, the missions network website has been launched as well as podcasts, the systematic use of email, an APP for both Android and Apple mobile phones, and multiple uses of social media. These cost of these services are fully underwritten by donor support. As of mid 2015 people from more than 100 nations each month are connecting with stories of God's Kingdom work as well as Christian teaching & inspiration. Every 5 seconds, someone is turning to the missions network! We would welcome the opportunity to discuss your potential role as a supporter in the ongoing growth and development of this vital work. Feel free to contact us through this web site, by mail or by telephone to arrange further discussion.
What does Mission Services Association believe?
Mission Services Association does not subscribe to any creed or statement of beliefs other than the Bible itself. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and it alone is the all sufficient rule of faith and practice. As individuals, the members of the MSA "team" respect the rights and privileges of all believers in Christ to disagree on matters of opinion.
How does Mission Services Association handle its finances?
MSA has only two sources of income, contributions from supporters and charges paid by ministries for services. The finances of MSA are under the direct oversight of its Executive Director and Bookkeeper. These individuals are directly accountable to the Board of Directors and donors of the ministry. An outside accountant prepares all payroll records, making sure tax deposits are made in accordance with federal law. The annual tax return for the ministry is reviewed by the Executive Committee and is open to all Board members and contributors upon request. Throughout the 69 plus years of ministry, the financial records of the ministry have been open to any supporter.
How is Mission Services Association governed?
The daily operations of MSA are administered by the Executive Director. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors in accordance with the adopted by-laws. This board meets at least twice annually. Four additional times each year, the Executive Director meets with and reports to the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors.
